This was our 2nd cruise, but our 1st with Celebrity Cruise Line. Our daughter and son-in-law were with us and this was their 1st cruise.
Embarkation-disembarkation: We can only compare this process to one other cruise we had been on which was NCL and we found this to be an
efficient and fairly speedy procedure. We were issued numbers and soon found ourselves on board and ready to eat lunch. We never had to handle
our luggage from the time we arrived at the airport until we entered our stateroom. However the luggage arrived piecemeal over a 2 hour period
which did make for some anxiety. Later in the cruise we heard that a number of passengers did not receive their baggage until we arrived in San
Juan. The disembarkation procedure was even more efficient than embarkation. Impression of ship- The Century was almost twice as large as our
previous cruise ship, therefore all the public rooms seemed more spacious as well as being attractive and comfortable with the one exception being
the movie theater. The Grand Dining Room was 2-tiered and a sight to behold. The ships decor was in general very tasteful and the ship itself was
kept in immaculate condition. We occupied an outside cabin midship-very comfortable with plenty of drawer and closet space and a really great
shower. the ship had plenty of deck space to walk around and enjoy the sea air and sun.

The major criticism of the ship was a fairly frequent
unexplained vibration in the stern area of the ship particularly in the rear dining room area. For a ship of this size we were somewhat surprised at
the amount of roll in relatively calm seas as compared to the much smaller Norwegian Crown, however it was really not very objectionable. Dining
experience- The well publicized excellence of Celebrity's cuisine lived up to it's reputation. due to our late seating at dinner-finishing at 10:30 each
night- the midnight buffets may not have seemed as appealing as they might have been, but none the less, we went to some of them just to see and
taste a little, after all how frequently can one eat! However we enjoyed the late afternoon pizza, poolside, very much. Breakfast and lunch buffets
were excellent and varied in the Island Cafe. Entertainment- The poolside entertainment was exceptionally good and full of energy. The lounge
entertainment was better than average and we really enjoyed the opening of the Hemisphere lounge on the first night out- a fun event. The shows in
the Celebrity Lounge were energtic and varied-musical show, comic and juggler, singer and pianist all quite professional and entertaining. Activities:
There is much to do on the Century-keep your Daily Planner handy. If you want to catch some sun and read that novel you can do that too. If you're
into fitness a must is the Century's workout room-the view while you are sweating away those calories will make you lose track of time. Staff:
Century's cruise director Dave Cole was outstanding, his staff as well was energtic and capable. The room steward was very efficient-always fresh ice
and clean towels.

Our waiter, Adrian, was a unique character who helped make dinner a memorable occasion. Unfortunately we found Guest
Services to be not on the same high level as the rest of the staff. We were given the impression that they were just 'doing there job' without making
any extra effort to make the passenger feel comfortable. Ports of Call: There was noticeably less pressure to promote island tours on this ship than
on our previous cruise, it was appreciated. Very short stay in San Juan- quick trip to Fort Morro and walk through shopping and dock area which was
more interesting than we had expected. Surprising phone calls back to U.S at only 40 cents a minute. Took short tour around Charlotte Amalie and
found it to be more scenic than we had expected in views from surrounding hills. Daughter and son-in-law took a ferry to St.John's and spent an
enjoyable day snorkeling..watch out for the Carribean sun!

In St.Maarten the four of us rented a car and toured island on our own. The beaches on
the French side of the island were very beautiful and relaxing- e.g.-Orient Beach. In Nassau-the short walk (1 1/2 mile) to Paradise Island with its
beautiful hotel Atlantis was well worth the effort, although the town itself was not very attractive. Summation: All four of us felt that this was a relaxing
and enjoyable vacation and the Century lived up to its reputation and we would cruise with her again. We have only one regret-- that we didn't start
cruising years ago... Please excuse the undue length of this commentary as we may have been a little carried away by our own enthusiasm over
cruising.
