Great cruise - but it was our first. Family of four, two kids ages 10 and 7. We got two cabins up on the 9th deck. Very spacious, quiet and easy to fit
into. One problem initially - my daughter's door lock lost it's 'programming'. It took about three hours for someone to figureout what was wrong (after
several trips forward to the 'Guest Relations' desk for new keys). I finally refused the third trip forward and insisted that it was not a key problem - it
weren't! But - they fixed it, and I learned the layout of the ship.

Underway at sea - slightly rough out (6 to 8 foot seas which means *rough seas* in boats I'm used to). The Century was rock-solid! Great 1st day at
sea, kids attended the activities and decided they would not spend any time with us for the entire trip ;-(.

Arrived in Ocho Rios Jamaca on Monday. If I ever go on a cruise again, it *will NOT* stop here. Rude people, pushy (gimme money mon) and
gernerally dirty. I'm not prissy or anything - I love to haggle, grew up in the Phillipines where you see real poverty, dirt and squallor - butr there was
just something almost ruthless about the Jamacan stop - the people were not nice.

Next stops - Cayman Islands and Cozumel - both great, too short, but a fantastic time. Swim with the Stingrays but don't take the ship tour, just get
off the boat and arrange it yourself. We spent $35 for one adult, two kids - our dinner companions spent $120 for the *same* tour for two adults,
two kids.

Then another sea day - this time the kids decided to hang with Dad (thankfully) so we had a blast. Got to Key West, but since we're from Florida, we
simply hung around the ship. Arrived FTL next day - all went smoothly.

My thanks to the Waiters who made the trip seem quite luxurious. Nelson, our waiter, made my two girls feel like princesses, and he seemed
genuinely dissappointed when they left the final dinner to run off and play with some new found friends - they did not realize they would not see him
again.

The 'cadet' staff made the trip fun for the kids, and gave the parents a break. The entertainment was suitable for all ages and the kids loved it. We
had a large group of kids due to Spring Break - so it worked out real good.

What did I miss? Where would I suggest changes/additions?

CHANGE the route - get out of Jamaca! Add a couple of Internet Access terminals somewhere so we can get email (I'm a techy) - it's do-able. Post a
few more informative brochures about the layout of the boat, spend less time selling stuff (art, booze, etc). Arrange better shore excursions - or
inform passengers of what they are getting. (side note here - we usually just took pot-luck on the shore excursions rather than go with the ship's
tours. We often found ourselves alongside co-passengers on the same tour but at half the price!)

A great trip - but regretfully I would not do Jamaca again (or perhaps just stay on the ship)
