My husband and I (25/29) were first time cruisers and have become absolutely hooked on cruising. We traveled with another couple (22/30) which made it
all the more fun. Here's a quick rundown:

Embarkation/Debarkation: Embarkation was extremely easy. There was no line to wait on and within 15 minutes (start to finish) we were sitting in our cabin.
Debarkation was longer (1 hour 20 minutes). Considering there were arranging tranfers for 2,000 people I really have to say it ran smoothly.

We decided to fly into San Juan two day prior to the ship leaving. This was a complete waste of time. Our money would have been better spent on the boat,
activities or souvenirs. You can easily fly in on the date of departure and have enough time to stroll through Old San Juan (which is all there is to see in San
Juan).

We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the cabin was. Although, as we expected, it was small - the layout of the room made it extremely
comfortable for a week's stay. There was enough drawers and closet space to accomodate everything and one of the big luggages even fit on top of the
closet. The bathroom was immaculate and pleasing to the eye. Also, just enough space to get you through the week. One final note on the cabin is that
interactive TV is great for keeping track of your ship expenses on a daily basis.

My first round of compliments goes to the staff on the Galaxy. Everyone from our room stewart (Fatimo) to our waiter (Simic) and busboy (Rafael Brown)
were as attentive, polite and professional as you could ever get. We went away feeling as though we had left friends behind.

The next thing I must point out is the food. I think it is going to be really hard to find another ship that compares to Galaxy in food quality. Not only would
they serve up the very best food but even its presentation was not overlooked. Twice during the week they even had an intermezzo, which made dining all
the more fabulous. I took a tour of the kitchen on the third day and was amazed at how clean and organized it was in order to mass produce quality meals
day in and day out for 2000 people.

The layout of the ship is quite nice and gives for a relaxed feeling throughout. They have many bars to choose from and of course you will have a favorite
bartender throughout the trip (ours was Dr. Constantine).

The excursions could have been organized a little better and from what I understand you probably have better luck going on your own. The one excursion
I absolutely recommend would be the one to Trunk Bay in St. John.

The entertainment on board could have been a little more varied. They did make a decent attempt at having tropical/caribbean music playing throughout
the cruise with a great band called Voltz. Some nights seemed to have repeated the same itineraries. The shows in the theatre were quite good. The disco
was especially good on the two formal nights.

Drinks are very well priced, but you can always cut the cost by keeping a bottle of liquor in your room and mixing some drinks before you go out for the
night.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Galaxy on the Deep Caribbean route. The hardest task for me right now is to find another ship that will even
meet up to the same standards as the Galaxy. We had such a great time that we would consider doing the same exact route on this ship again in the
future - it was that good!
