Sailed out of Ft. Lauderdale on February 27, 1998 for a 10-night cruise with my wife and my 8 year old daughter. Every aspect of this cruise was up
to snuff including service, food, entertainment and ports of call. We were on top deck cabin 1043 and would highly suggest this deck since you can
walk right out the aft to a deck. Other decks were fine though. Entertainment was excellent with plenty of variety; cruise director in particular was
very good. Childrens program was somewhat limited only because there were few kids on board for this particular cruise. However, my daughter had
a great time with the youth director and met a lot of new friends. Weather was excellent the whole time which I think is because we went so far south
in the carribean. Dining room service was excellent; we sat a table of six (two open seats) with another couple who had a child our daughters
age---worked out great. Food was excellent; daily breakfast buffet was only negative in that it lacked daily variety (we did not eat in the dining room
in the morning which I understand was very good). Shore excursions were very good but pricey in comparison to just getting a taxi and seeing some
of the islands. The best part of this cruise was it's ports of call (St. Lucia was beautiful). We found the ship staff to be very courteous and helpful;
disembarkation was a breeze. Casino staff we felt could have been friendlier but it seemed they were bored with being there (not a major negative
though). If you are traveling with children there were only 14 on our cruise (which we did not mind) however the youth director said there were 200
on the next cruise and 400 on the cruise after that (probably due to spring break). My daughter had no complaints though. In summary we will
definitely cruise Celebrity again and would suggest them to anyone.
