Best Things about this Costa Cruise 1) Beautiful Ship 2) The Pasta 3) The wait, service and
Cabin staff 4) Lunch and
dinner menus and Qualty of food in dining room 5) Although disembarkation was the same old
hour wait,
embarkation/disembarkation (The thing that I dislke most about cruises) was more orderly
on Costa.
The Worst things 1)Dining room evening meals, The menus were limited often being saved by
the pasta dish, The quality
of the ingredients in the traditional cruise fare such as rack of lamb, sirloin strips,
tenderloin and prime rib were poor, if
they can't afford to serve them they should remove them from the menu.A veal cutlet seemed
to be either pork or
turkey 2) It is insulting to offer afternoon tea in the buffet line.. We had breakfast one
AM in the buffet.. thin OJ, cold
coffee, I don't know what or how they scramble eggs, it was unsatisfactory 3)
Entertainment was poor. The dancers were
ok but couldn't carry five nights.. one night was the passenger talent show, most people
on the ship seemed to stop
going after one or two shows. 4) Cabin was outside , supposedly an upgrade from a lower
outside category. I guess it
was a smaller cabin than others in that category..probably reserved to seem like an
upgrade. Loved the window and the
view, cramped quarters, the TV was good, good in room movies, no CNN or business news.
Dirty/stained carpet. Shower
with no water preesure to speak of.
We enjoyed the cruise despite its shortcomings.. would probably not cruise Costa again
