This was our fifth cruise with the Crystal Line, all on the Harmony. Again we were not disappointed. Last month we were on the Costa Romantica with
our entire family and were a little disappointed, but this trip was just my husband and myself and the entire experience was just all that we had
hoped and even more. The trip started by leaving home a day earlier than the brochure had printed, with the cruise line putting us up at the
Embassy Suites in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. for a night and then continuing our flight the next day to Barbados, where we boarded the ship. When we
arrived at the Embassy Suites there was a representative from the cruise line pre checking us in, so that when we arrived at the ship, we by passed
the lines and boarded immediately. My husband and I love this ship so much that the ports of call are not really important to us...we just stay on the
ship and lap up the luxury. A few days into the cruise my husband developed a foot problem and we needed to use the ships doctor's services. The
doctor and his nurses couldn't have been any nicer and more pleasent. They let us use a wheel chair for the remainder of the trip and made
arrangements for a wheel chair to be at the departing airport and the arriving airport upon completion of our cruise. The casino staff were really
terrific and fun. There were two slot machine tournaments while we were on board. They tried to have a black jack tournament, but not enough
people signed up. This ship has a passenger capacity of around 950, but there were just over 600 on the ship for this cruise. It was wonderful. The
poolside entertainment was great and each day a bunch of we women would get in the pool and dance to the music (what great excercise that was)!
Also this is one of the few ships that actually has a promenade deck. It was great for taking walks and pushing the wheel chair around. The deck
help were terrific with helping me with pushing the wheel chair, especially during the on deck luncheon buffets, which I might add were superb. Our
room stewardess was brand new, only have worked 3 weeks. She could have been better, but no real complaints. This is a wonderful ship and worth
every penny.
