This was our second cruise on Crystal, the other being a trans Atlantic on the Harmony in
1995. As on the other ship,
everything was first class. The entertainment was very professional, the food and service
in the dining room was
superb, the cabin (with veranda) was beautiful. The cruise included stops in Casablanca,
Madeira, and the Canary
Islands. Our favorite stop was Madeira, Casablanca was our least favorite. Stephen, the
front desk manager, was at
our table in the dining room, and was an excellent host. He gave us interesting insights
into life on a cruise ship.
The spa was wonderful...my wife and I had several massages each. The fitness center was
complete and well laid out,
though it is smaller than the one on the Harmony. The passenger to space ratio was
excellent. The ship was full, but it
never felt crowded. You didn't have to leave dinner early to get a seat at the show.
The only caution I would give is that this is a ship mostly geared for adults. People with
children would probably do
better on other lines.
