The Delta Queen is a 'Floating' National Landmark. The boat is old, but has been updated. It has the feel of long ago, but includes the aminities we all
expect today. The food is excellent. A lot of New Orleans and Southern cusine, but you can always get steak or chicken is you so choose. The waite staff is
very accomadating to special requests. On the first night, my husband asked for the sauce to be served on the side. The waiter asked every night if he
wanted his sauce or gravey on the side. They know what you like to drink with you meals after the second day and they usually have it ready and waiting
for you. We have sailed on the Delta Queen several times and I am amazed that the staff remembers not only my name, but the things I like. It makes you
feel right at home. The boat has no TV or radio. This disconnects you from the real world making it easier to relax. They do not have glitzy Las Vagas
entertainment. It is more down home. They often bring local talent on board to entertain. We saw two different gentlemen do Mark Twain. One did a young
Twain, the other did an older Twain. Both were very good. The ports of call are real small American towns. It is great to see the real country and not tourist
traps on your travels. I really enjoy these cruises. They are so relaxing, you feel like you are in another world.
