This was our third steamboatin' adventure and the best one. We traveled on four rivers, the Cumberland, Tennessee,
Ohio and Mississippi. The stops were interesting, in Nashville, Dover, Savannah/Shiloh, Paducah Cairo, New Madrid
and Memphis. We find exploring American cities to be just as interesting as foreign ports. The itinerary had to be
revised several times due to high water, but that just added to the fun. This was a Civil War themed cruise, and very
educational. The enhancement lectures by four highly qualified individuals were outstanding.

The Mississippi Queen is an interesting boat (not a ship), but not directly comparable to the large ocean liners. The
cabins are very small with few amenities. We had a "B" level cabin, which had a verandah but little else. The beds were
comfortable and the cabin quiet however.

With only 400 passengers, the food variety was somewhat limited compared to the larger ships. It was certainly
satisfactory however. The crew and the entertainers were especially friendly, helping to make our trip very enjoyable.

While overall cruise value ranks in the lower half of the 31 cruises we have taken, it was still a great trip. The steam
calliope concerts are unique to the steamboats, and add a lot to the experience. We will certainly go steamboatin' again.
