My trip on the Premier Seabreaze was anything but relaxing. I took my family, which
included my 87 year old grandmother and my 2 year old son. Since
the elevators were very few and mostly broken, my grandmother spent alot of her time
sitting in one of the hall couches. My son, having NO baby pool,
and not even any toys to play with on the deck was quite- out of sorts. I was under the
impression from the lovely broshure, that this boat had a nice pool-
not so, . This consisted of a very small and very deep postage stamp hole. FAR too
dagerous for my son to get near- even with myself at his side. It is very
normal for your bedsheets and pillow cases to be stained and very nasty to look at. They
may be clean- but instead of thowing these out and saving
anyone the "images" of what was here before- they use them night after night. (I
think someone before me must have had a very nasty nose bleed) If you
sleep past the scheduled eating times- You DO NOT EAT. When my 2 year old cried- because
of course they don't understand that you must eat what is
put before you- he was given 2 saltine crackers in a napkin. When on vacation I really
feel that you should be able to eat when it suits you. Maybe a cruise
ship is not of that nature- if so- I will re-route my future vacations. If it was not for
my cabin steward and the waiters I had- I would have taken my family
and flown out of the nearest port. They were wonderful and work very hard to please you.
THe food when you got it - was very good- except room
service- that only consists of a wafer thin ham sandwhich- once again punishment for not
eating on time. this would be a wonderful cruise for someone
with no kids, elderly, and someone who only wants to sit around and gamble and drink- I
myself feel thats what Vegas is for and it's much cheaper . I was
told to seek "real cruiselines" such as Carnival and Magestic . But I'm afraid
I'm a little gunshy now of all cruiselines. Karen Deushane

After reading so many negative reviews of this ship/line, wanted to add my 2-cents worth
in disagreement. Considering the very
reasonable rates for this 7-day weekly cruise (alternating eastern/western Carib.), the
quality of food, service, and attention lavished upon
passengers is nothing short of awesome. This was the only non-5 star ship we've ever
sailed on. Well - it's small, compared to the mega
vessels docked on each side of it in Ft. Lauderdale, and far from lavish in terms of
public rooms decor, but what a surprisingly well-heeled,
upscale crowd we encountered. We met one 84-year old woman(Doris), wheelchair bound, who
was taking her 94th(!!!!) cruise on this
ship, one man taking his 43rd, and many couples who were repeat passengers. Why, we asked
these people, would you continue to take
the same cruise on the same ship over and over - the answer always came back - 'because
the food and service are so great' - and they
were absolutely right. The minus points go to the pool araea which is way too small (pool
and seating area) and totally lacking in any
resort-type ambience (no umbrella tables, poolside bar, plantings, etc.); the fitness
center which is windowless and crammed into a small
room; and the absence of smoke-free bars; and the absence of any meaningful room service
for anything but a continental breakfast. Our
cabin, D-12, was one of the largest we've ever had, with large picture windows overlooking
the promenade deck, a writing nook and
sittingarea, 4 large closets, ample drawer space, and a large bathroom with bath and
shower. Outstanding cabin and dining room service.
Ship staff observed constantly cleaning and polishing various areas of ship every hour, so
it seemed.
Kudos to Premier for being able to offer such a good bargain, and to our travel agent for
suggesting this line to cruisers like us used to
Cunard, Holland America and Crystal.

Our family (party of six, including three young children) were allowed to squeeze into one
cabin (we got special
permission--our children were all under 2).
Embarkation was ok. It moved quickly although I thought it should have been faster since
the SeaBreeze is a
small ship.
Our cabin was an excellent size. It normally handles five. Our three adults and three
toddlers fit well. The ship
provided three cribs, which really helped. The bathroom included a bathtub. Unfortunately
we had trouble with the
lack of hot water the entire cruise. Several attempts to rectify it failed. No other
passengers we spoke to had the
same problem.
We didn't have high expectations for this cruise (especially with three toddlers), but it
went very well. The food
was great. Not gourmet, but good portions and tasty too. The restaurant staff went out of
their way to entertain
our children (most had never seen triplets before). I hope the other passengers weren't
jealous of all the service
we were getting.
The staff in general was great. Word got around fast about the family with triplets and we
were treated like
celebrities by the staff.
The SeaBreeze is an older ship that could use some refurbishing. It doesn't look great
compared to the
megaliners, but on the other hand, we definitely felt a personal touch on this smaller
ship than we have on the
bigger ships. It really shows in the food preparation (able to get special items ordered
for the kids) and in
dealing with the cruise staff.
As a cruise veteran, I've learned to appreciate both the older smaller ships as well as
the modern megaliners.
As mentioned earlier, my expectations weren't high, but they were definitely exceeded by
this cruise. The price
we paid was a bargain, but the vacation was excellent--a good value.

We had done a lot of research on the ship and intinerary so we were not expecting more
than what was
reasonable to expect. And we were pleasantly surprised by a number of things. The ship is
old and public walking
areas are smaller than what you will find on the more modern vessels. The rooms are
smaller, less opulent, but
certainly functional. It is true that you do not spend a lot of time in the room, so it is
not a critical factor as long
as the basics are taken care of. The ship is clean and neat, under constant
repair/attention, and just fine in
almost all respects. The staff and whole environment is relaxed, informal, and just easy
to take. They do not try to
act like more than what it is or they are. Passenger types were totally eclectic.... every
type of person,
combination, experience, walks of life. Lots of first timers, but also many experienced
travelers, particularly those
who enjoy the old ocean liners over the new mega-boxes. You do feel like you are on a ship
rather than in a
hotel... the way it should be in my opinion. The most significant surprise was the food
and service in the dining
room.... great!!! Food was uniformly good to excellent, interesting, good variety, and
service was very efficient and
friendly. We took most of our meals there as it was better and just more enjoyable than
the outside buffets.
Lunches were like dinners depending on what you ordered, and dinners were great as well.
The breakfast menu
was full and complete.... and is always my favorite meal on a cruise as I do several
courses. Dinners usually had a
beef, chicken, veal and fish selection, and sometimes lamb, duck, and one night lobster
newburg. All was very
good according to those at our table. We usually had most dishes ordered, and never had a
complaint. Shows
and other entertainment are about what you would expect.... enjoyable but nothing too
elaborate. But again, fine
for the money spent. The casino was adequate and machines always available if that is your
preference (not a
big thing with us). Shops were adequate, deck space/lounges tight at times, but not a
problem really. Only
negatives are the somewhat long embarkation process, a cabin steward who was rather slow
to refresh the ice
and bathroom items like soap and shampoo, but again, not a big deal. He basically did what
he was supposed to.
The ship would be very tough for someone in a wheelchair as ramping is highly angled and
entries narrow in
many places. The only excursion we did not like was the Kon Tiki party boat in St.
Thomas... a do not do. Waste of
money and time in a place you can do a lot of better things. Best things: crew, food,
atmosphere, efficiency
overall..... ports were fine... in Puerto Rico we did the rain forest tour which was
great. In St. John, did the Trunk
Bay snorkling trip which I had done before, and is always wonderful. Unfortunately, the
coral and fish life is a bit
less now due to hurricane damage two years ago, but the bay and island are both a treat.
Everyone should take
advantage of the St. Johns excursions.... a don't miss. In Nassau we went to Paradise
Island and walked around at
the Atlantis resort.... wonderful manmade lagoons with native fish that you can wander
around and even under in
tubes. Really neat. Worth a look. Other than that, the staw market in Nassau is a fun
place to shop, and others on
the trip liked the Blue Lagoon excursion... said it was a very relaxing and nice place to
spend a couple of hours.
Finally.... we recommend the trip and ship... great value and fun time. Those who have
bashed this ship and line
may have had their reasons, but I have to think they must have been a big part of the
problem. We did not see or
hear of anyone having any real problems whatsoever. We'll be glad to answer any
emails/questions you may
have!

It has been awhile since we went, so I'll make it brief.
The wife and I went and had a blast! Service rocks, food rocks. Normal everyday people,
smaller ship. Yeah, it's a little flaky on the meal
schedules, and I am sure it would be a drag to have the later meal hours (we had 1st
sitting).
They do their best to clamp down on teenagers drinking, when we went there were hardly any
at all so that was no big deal. They had day
care if you bring small kids (we did not).
The best value for the money by far. If you can't have a good time on Premier Cruise Lines
(or any cruise line for that matter), you're just
trying to point the bad out.
When we cruise again we are going Premier Cruise Lines.

This was my second cruise on the Sea Breeze. The first with Premier cruise lines. The
second the ship was now Sailing under the Premier
Cruise Line Flag. The first cruise with Premier Cruise Lines was an excellent value. The
food service was very good, some of the best meals
and service we have had in, then our thirteenth cruise. The Entertainment was very good.
The dinning room staff made each meal a joyful
occasion. The deck buffets were all served with a great presentation of food and
decoration. The whole seven days was great.
Premier Cruise Lines had taken over the operation of the Sea Breeze when I took the second
cruise on her december 14, 1997. The whole
operation had drasticaly changed for the worse. The dinning room food was very good for
several meals, Then equally bad for several meals.
The waiters had been given several more tables to serve. They were now so rushed to serve
the added passangers they had no time to be
friendly with us and make our meal times a pleasent experience. The entertainment in the
main show room was very, very poor, except for
the two evenings of the variety show. I was invited to the Captain's repeater party. My
invitation was for friday 5:15 pm. At the firecracker
loung. When I arrived at 5:30 pm there were two other people in the lounge and no one
else. No Hostes, No captain, no entertainment, no
waiters, no nothing. I wen to the pursers desk after we had been there abou twenty minutes
to see what was wrong. After the purser made
quite a few phone she determined the cocktail party was for 7:30 pm. They could not even
send out correct invitaions for the Captains
cocktail party. I was one of five repeat Premier cruisers at my dinner table. Each of them
stated they would not cruise with Premier again. I
heard this statement made time and time again through out the rest of the cruise. In
fourteen cruises this is the first real negative
experience I have had. These cruises were on many of the older ships and several of the
newer ones.

My family just returned from Premier's Sea Breeze Sunday night. Over all we had a lovely
vacation and my family would sail
Sea Breeze again with most of our friends or relatives. My own children 10, 18, and 21
enjoyed it immensely and my ten
year old doesn't even want to consider another ship. This was only my second cruise and so
I have limited background
which to make comparisons. Our first cruise was on Carnival's Imagination for the New
Year's cruise also. We have enjoyed
both cruises and plan to continue with another boat next year if possible.
This trip was a family reunion for my husband's family. My husband's mother, eleven
siblings and their families took this
boat primarily because it was less expensive, and recommended for its good food and good
value, and because it was a
family oriented boat. We were more interested in being able to be together than
experiencing the exacting service or posh
surroundings many cruisers demand. Our group included one retired grandmother, several
engineers, a receptionist, an
interior decorator, 3 teachers, an architect, a nurse, a doctor, 2 doctoral candidates, 3
farmers, a lawyer, a speech clinican,
a trucker driver, 8 college students, about 6 high school students, and 4 grade school
children. The Sea Breeze is a smaller
boat built sometime in the l950's She shows some definite wear. The interior maintance is
sometimes a little sloppy and I
noticed paint drips and places where less than loving care has been given over the years.
It reminded me of an older hotel.
It was clean, but not sparkling. My husband and I determined it would be fine again for
some of our friends, but not if you
are traveling with anyone that is fussy about details and who expects the best.
Our room was E69 and it was home for my family of five. It had a four closets(about 18
inches wide) large enough to easily
handle a weeks clothing, and shoes. Each closet had two upper shelves and one shelf near
the floor that hinged from the
floor to hide shoes or something. There were hooks for four and another hook by the door
and in the more hooks in the
bathroom. Also there was a recoiling clothes line in the bathroom. There were three large
drawers( about 36 inches wide)
under a wall mirror. We managed by putting some of our ten year old's things in with his
Dad's and making him live out of
his suitcase which we rolled from under the bunks. We had room under the beds for all our
large suitcases and carry on's. I
was a little nervous at first about our small room, but we had fun staying in the same
room. It was a little like going to
camp, but a good experience. We did try to send out anyone the got dressed so my college
aged girls could fuss around a
bit. The room had a small round port hole and shelf under the window. The top bunks had
little cubbies in which my son
kept his books and video games, and headset.
The food was wonderful. We enjoyed the bread especially. I often make homemade bread and
was not disapointed with
variety and freshness. Our group enjoyed the fish and beef and we had a beef producers
along that would know a good
steak. Our least favorite course was deserts. They looked beautiful, but tasted more bland
than I am used to. Some
contained more liquor than is common in the midwest. Maybe I was just so full that I
couldn't enjoy them. The portions
weren't overly huge, but certainly more than I am used to eating. I heard no complaints
about the variety offered. It was
hard to choose. I especially appreciated that one could order hamburgers and hot dogs with
any meal. This isn't maybe
what most cruisers want, but after several really nice meals, it just sounded good to me.
I always knew the kids would be
happy if fish or steak didn't appeal to them. The boat itself was functional. It wasn't
breathtaking and awesome. It felt like a
ship, it got us to the ports, I saw beautiful landscapes, you could enjoy the sea, but the
boat itself wasn't gorgeous. It wasn't
particularly romantic. It was fun, but it was more like camp. I don't think I personally
could have had more fun in one week,
but the boat wasn't beautiful. But still I loved it. Entertainment- My son thought the
ship's entertainment was great. I
thought it was fine. There was a quartet that was quite energtic and fun to watch. My son
enjoyed the juggler and we took
turns trying to out do the comedian. Because we were such a large family group, our main
entertainment was just being
with family. The ship's entertainment wasn't so important on this cruise. Several of the
guys enjoyed cards in the piano bar.
Special thanks go to Ted, the pianist, who when requested, accompanied my nephew Ben so he
could siing for his aunts
and uncles. My aplogies to others in the kareokee bar for how our family enjoyed listening
to each other. nonstop over the
week. I hope we weren't too extremely offensive by having fun there. I had fun just going
to the theatre. It had a large
screen tv type screen, but was fine for watching the daily selection. I had wished we
could have movies in our room like on
the Imagination, but didn't mind at all watching them with family and strangers on the 4
by 6 ft. screen. It felt like a mini
theatre. We spent a lot of time in the hot tubs. They are on one of the upper decks and
were a good way to keep from
being sea sick. There was something about the heat and fresh air and took the quezzy
feeling away. We pretty much had
them to ourselves as very few older shipmates made it up there. There were enough
activites during the day for me. I
couldn't attend everything I would have liked. I could have been much less busy and still
enjoyed the week. Having a large of
group of first time cruisers, even napkin folding appealed to some. We had someone going
to almost everything-vegetable
carving, perfume testing, wine testing, etc. These were fine samples for first time
cruisers. If you are considering the Sea
Breeze I think you could have a memorable and enjoyable cruise. Expect polite, but not
highly polished atmosphere and
service. I would recommend it for families and couples who want a cruise experience
without spending top dollar. If you are
fussy about your home or demand the best service, you might want to invest a little more.
My family of five would definitely
consider the Sea Breeze for another vacation, but I would carefully think over taking
certain friends or relatives that I know
are more discrimnating.

First of all excuse my spelling, I know it's awlful! My perspective is from a first time
cruiser and also one of the younger
people on the boat. I went with a family group of 39 so we pretty much could entertain
ourselves. When I first arrived on the
boat, the room looked so small even though I had been prepared for a cramped cabin. The
boat wasn't pretty. It had dirty
peach floor and old bedspreads. We quickly changed into shorts and went up for our lunch
buffet. The line wasn't bad but
frustrating. It was very crowded and confusing until we climbed up two flights. The upper
decks were spacious and relaxing.
My father commented that the older people didn't want to walk up the stairs. The same went
later for the hot tubs...even
though the pool deck was full the hot tub deck two flights up empty. The pool was closed
most of the time due to the rough
waves. That leads me to the weather. The trip was very rough. It was hard to walk and
almost everyone was sick including
the staff. As I know this isn't anyones fault I'll just comment on things that help. the
worst palce to be if you feel sick is in
your cabin. The best place to be if you can stand the heat is the hot tub. the bubbling
jets seem to make you forget the
swaying. Also the times I felt the most sick was when I woke up. As soon as I had
breakfast, something in my stomach, I felt
better. Premier cruises warned us of weather and high heels, distrubuted dramamine, and
would issue shots if you couldn't
keep the dramamine down. The meals I most enjoyed were the dining room service. It is far
better than the deck buffets. My
cousins and I enjoyed tasting many new foods. The cold soups, the catch of the day and the
fruit were excellent. New Years
Eve on the boat was a really treat! I tried caviar, escargot, salad, sherbert, chilled
avocado soup, Lobster and Baked Alaska
then they wanted to serve us dessert! Our waiter, Henry, was very polite and nice. He
always smiled and gave very good
recommondations to me when I couldn't decide. The head waiter was nice and arranged a
birthday cake for my
grandmother with a big firecraker on it. The wine steward was nice but kind of snobby. I
went to his wine tasting class($5)
and learned quite a bit! Later in the week he brought around a compementary bottle of
wine. After listening to his lecture
for a hour about California and French wines he brought us wine from Spain. Also the wine
sterward told us the free
champane at the captains part was sparkling wine that wasn't even on his wine list. I
didn't notice but I thought I'd let you
know. The midnight buffet was ok, but I only went twice. The best two were mexican night
and fruit night. Chinese was bad(I
heard.) The dessert looked better than they tested. I wasn't used to so much puff and
cream. they had very European,
tastless desserts. The only two I really like were the rum baba and the baked alaska. At
any time you could order
cheeseburgers, hotdogs, or ice cream if you didn't like what was on the menu. I didn't try
any until the last day but the ice
cream was really good. Maybe I was just getting hungry for regular food. We won free
drinks almost everyday and I was glad
I partisipated in activities. Activities I liked were massage(although they just tried to
sell you products), newlywed game,
wine tasting, how to make cocktails, napkin folding, how to buy perfume and fruit cutting.
If I had a chance to get the time
back I spent in the facial(all they did was sell products),the dancing shows(stupid) I
would. I enjoyed the magician, the
comedian and the varity show. The activities should be more geared to teaching people not
selling the boat. Now I saved
my two biggest negatives for last. The first one was Michele' or as our group called him
'the tour nazi'. I understand the
importance of his shouting but he was rude and annoying. When leaving for Nassau to
snorkel, he yelled 'get in line, get in
line' we mention we didn't get a towel as other ahead of us grabbed two, he said no
towels, too bad. I was mad because we
had been no time to get more and were freezing on the way back. The second dissappointment
was the disco. The picture
in the brocure looked promising for my 19 cousin and I that went. The dj played the worst
songs I have ever heard taht had
to slow a beat to dance to. He would ingnore us and our requests and play all the songs on
one side of a cd! When we
complained four nights later to the cruise director he stated that it is hard to make all
ages hapy atr one time. I was so
mad, what ages? We were the only ones there. The place was dead except for the dj who
would go dance with the sleazy
looking person in there instead of doing his job. As teenagers on the boat this was
frustrating! All in all I had a great time
minus the weather. I would go again with size group, so we could entertain ourselves at
night. Otherwise I might go to
celebrate the dj's retirement!
