The cruise was well organized and worthwhile. The food is as good as can be imagined. The excursion desk is too company oriented with the wishes of the passengers suffering. We did much better by just winging it. The ship is no longer sailing out of New Orleans, which is unfortunate. There is a large market for valued cruises in the South Central region. Flying to one of the coasts will add travel costs, and possible inconvenience. The dining room staff is truly outstanding and the tipping not required policy is very comfortable and stress free. The ship possesses magnificent art in its passageways and lounges, and the overall decor of the ship is very elegant. Holland America has established themselves as the overall experts in their field, and deserve the accolades bestowed upon them.
