My husband and I took this cruise for our honeymoon. We were quite catered to as newlyweds -- complimentary champaign, cocktails with the captain,
extensive pampering. The crowd did tend to be mostly older people, but we didn't mind because we were caught up in each other.

Our dining stewards and our cabin steward were exceptional. While at a port of call, we were late for our dinner seating, missing my husband's favorite
dish -- crab legs. We told our dining steward the following evening how disappointed we were to have missed such a delicious dish, and he arranged for
us to be served crab legs the next night. In our cabin, cans of soda were set out for us to chose from. We tend to only drink Coke -- not Sprite, Ginger
Ale, etc, which were also provided. We asked our cabin steward if he could replace all the others with Coke, and when we came back from a walk around
the boat, we had a full stock of Coke in our room. Our cabin steward kept our room spotless and we always had clean towels and wash cloths. He was
just a delightful little fellow.

The ship was beautiful (though I went on a RCCL cruise, Sovereign of the Seas, a few years ago and thought it was much more beautiful). We didn't have
a verandah room, but we did have an outside room with a window. I would definitely have a verandah room if I went on another cruise to Alaska.

The captain was extremely approachable and funny. When he would talk over the intercom, he would always say something to make everyone laugh.

The disembarkation/embarkation was always speedy and smooth. No long, time-consuming lines.

As far as complaints, I was a bit disappointed with the cost of the shore excursions -- they were very expensive. While in one port of call, we decided to
go independently to find our own shore excursion. The cost was half what it was on the ship.

I wasn't very happy with the time spent at the ports of call either. We were in a little town, Skagway, where there wasn't much to do or see, for a whole
day, yet were only in a more 'happening' town, Ketchikan, for a few hours.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience -- especially for 2 newlyweds. We lived the high-life for 7 days.
