My Wife and I enjoyed the cruise abord the MS Veendam very much. The ports of call were wide ranging, aside from
Dunn's River Falls Jamaica was not very appealing. On Grand Cayman we visited Hell and did some shopping in
Georgetown and is a place I would like to visit again. In Mexico we had a great time visiting the Mayan Ruins at Tulum. We
then proceeded to the ferry at Playa Del Carmen to cross over to Cozumel were we had a chance to see the city of San
Miguel,it was one of the highlites of the trip. The next port was Key West to say the least it was party Town even though it
was the middle of the day.So we spent the day going from club to club. Now the time on the ship was somewhat different
than the previous cruise we had taken on the Veendam in March of 97.This time there were many people who live an
alternative lifestyle. This was a not a major problem but was a little strange on night's when pictures were taken before
dinner.I was glad that I did not have small children on the cruise with me and have to explain why these men were
holding hands and hugging in the manner a man and his wife would.I will try to research for the next cruise to make
sure i can sail without so many queers. As far as the Officers on the ship we saw very little of them and the cruise
director was only available on stage prior to the shows. I am looking at other cruise lines for my next trip and have not
ruled out Holland America as a posibility.
