There has been a lot of discussion lately about this ship and Premier Cruise Lines.
Considering this, we did not know what to expect we we boarded. We were
pleasantly suprised. Our cabin was located on the Carmen. It was larger than we had
expected. Two lowers, 1 upper and pleanty of space for a rollaway.
Since there was only the two of us, we had plenty of room and lots of storage space. Our
cabin steward introduced himself, but we saw very little of him. We
knew he had been in the cabin because it was always tidy and the ice bucket always full.
Meals in the dinning room were great. Good variety and great service. The Carmen Lounge
was also the showroom. Even though the entertainment was good,
some people had trouble seeing around the columns.
Sailing a small ship like the SeaBreeze was a good experience. I liked it better than the
mega ships. You have a little more down home feeling with the
passengers as you get to know most of them.
Now, for the two negatives. Embarkation was poor. We arrived at the pier at 12:00 noon.
There was already a line with little seating. Most had to stand outside
in the hot sun. I would recommend that you not arrive at the pier until after 1:30. By
then it was much easier to board. I would not recommend this for
wheelchair cruisers. Being an older ship, it was not built for the handicapped. The decor
was also in need of a face lift. I understand the ship will soon be
refurbished.
Over all at great cruise vaule. I would recommed it to anyone and I hope to cruise on her
again.
