My wife and I just returned from this cruise and had a great time. It was difficult to find anything to write on
the final questionaire for dislikes except for the wait service at the pool were it was slow and the staff did
not even know the drinks that they served. That was frustrating getting the wrong drinks four times.

Overall the ship was very nice. It was not the most elegant we have ever been on but it was comfortable
and cozy and easy to get around on. Our cabin was A178 which is a BA category with a private balcony,
however the balcony was so small it was almost not worth the extra money. We could barely get around
on it.

Our cabin steward(Samuel) was one of the best we ever had. He did a great job and made sure we had
everything we needed and was very prompt with our morning coffee. He was always very pleasant and
ready to help when we needed it.'

We went to the dinning every night for dinner and was very pleased with the entire experience. Our waiter
and assistant waiter were wonderful. Gerago and Marco were efficient and worked well together making
sure it all went flawless. The food in the dinning room was good and not much better. I have come to
expect great taste and presentation on cruises and this was only average. There were good selections
every night. My wife had lamb and veal several nights which was a treat because we usally only get these
selections once on other cruises. I had a lot of beef which was only average, except for the Prime Rib
which was great. The other beef selections were over-cooked and sometimes tough. I caanot eat shellfish
that is why I had so much beef, in case you were wondering why I ate it if it was not that good. I also had
the veal and chicken dishes that were good. The food on cruise ships is just not what it used to be.

The itinerary was great. All of our ports of call were fanastic. We swam with the dolphins in Cozumel and it
was the best money we ever spent on anything. If you have the money do this once in your life. You can
even buy a video to remember it with. The swim with the Stingrays was a good experience but a little
wierd to do. Someone said it was like swimming in a vat of liver and I think I may have to agree. I guess it
should be done at least once in a lifetime. Costa Rico was nice and we did not do any excusions but just
went shopping and found that to be a good experience. The Panama Canal experience was great.
Getting to do it twice makes it even that much more wonderful. If you miss something the first time you get
to do it again. If you want to sleep late you will not miss anything on the return trip and it tends to be less
crowded on the front of the ship. We were the first cruise ship to go into Colon which was a marvelous
experience. The people were very glad to see us and did a lot of special things for us to remember. The
ship gave us a cetificate to verify our visit as the first which was nice touch. We did not do much in
Colombia but did not hear many good things from the people that did. Tours were to short and the
residents bother you a lot.

In conclusion, This was a very very good cruise which I would recommend to anyone. It was our first 10
day cruise and it did make a difference. We relaxed more than we usally do on a 7 day cruise. I must
mention that the average age of this cruise is 60+. It is kind of like a floating nursing home. There are a
lot of wheelchairs, walkers and crutches. The people using these did not appear to have any trouble
getting around and did not interfere with us 60. All in all it was a nice blend of people and good to see
people with disabilities enjoying themselves as much as we did. We liked the ship board activities very
much. The quiz games and lounge entertainment was very good. David Crathorne was a man who sung
show tunes in the Intermezzo lounge is a treat to spend time with. This man was great.

A man, A plan , a Canal - Panama - A must do for everyone and the Crown Princess out of Fort
Luaderdale a good choice.

My wife and I have taken many cruises but this is the first time on Princess Cruise lines. We normally go on
Royal Caribbean or Holland. We were disappointed to find that this ship seems to cater to senior cruisers
only. The vast majority of passengers were elderly and complained more than usual. We have been on 10
day trips before but never had so many senior-senior citizens. It was difficult to find any entertainment in the
lounges that was not Lawrence Welk type music. We like a cocktail before late sitting dinner but only one
lounge was ever open and it was very cold, empty, no snacks but the same cracker mix the entire cruise. We
really missed a piano bar that was interactive, not just old broadway singers that were so loud no
conversation was possible. We are able to entertain ourselves pretty well, but became bored long before the
10th day.

The Panama Canal was terrific, but the rest of the ports were mainly cargo stops. Cozumel was wonderful, as
usual. Did not bother getting off the ship in Cartegena and Colon.

The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom shower was the largest ever. Food was of great
variety and excellent for all meals. Lobster, Prime Rib, Shrimp - all the favorites. As long as you were in the
dining room or the Lido Deck, you were having a great time. The Pizzeria was fantastic. Needless to say, we
gained 10 pounds because there was nothing to do but eat and lie around. The movie theatre was excellent
but that didn't help us exercise those pounds off. No midnight buffet served, but we usually don't go anyway.
Hot tubs were nice.

Whole ship seemed to need some new blood to get the enthusiasm going. The comedian has been there for
18 years and it seemed that his jokes were that old. Same for the Cruise Director who liked to sing a lot. Even
some of the seniors were saying they were not as happy with the nightly performances. We met nice people,
but missed a more lively atmosphere.

My husband and two children just returned from this 10-day cruise and had a wonderful time. I was worried
that there may not be activities for the children but was pleasantly surprised at the great youth program.

Overall the ship was very nice. I agree with one of the other reviews. It was not the most elegant we have
ever been on but it was comfortable and cozy and easy to get around on. Our cabin was D170 on the
Dolphin Deck (Level 8) and was very spacious. Probably the best stateroom we have ever stayed in.
There was so much storage space that even some drawers went empty. That is saying a lot with four
people sharing one room and packing for a 13-day trip (we stayed in FLL afterward).

Our cabin stewardess (Gabriell) was one of the best we ever had. She was so pleasant and friendly. She
did a great job and made sure we had everything we needed.

We went to the dinning every night for dinner and was very pleased with the entire experience. At first we
were put at the late seating but finally got changed for the first seating. Our waiter and assistant waiter
were wonderful. Alberto and Luis were efficient, worked well together and were just fun. The food in the
dinning room was good but average. I have come to expect great taste and presentation on cruises and
this was only average. Selections ranged from lobster tails, to veal, pheasant and the usual beef. My
problem was that all meats were overcooked no matter where you ate.

The itinerary was great but I felt that some of the sea days could have been left out and let us call on
another port or two like Key West or Jamaica. All of our ports of call were fanastic.

In conclusion, This was a very very good cruise which I would recommend to anyone. It was our first 10
day cruise and it did make a difference. We we so relaxed. Now my husband says that he only wants to do
10-day trips. more than we usally do on a 7 day cruise. However, be prepared for the vast number of
senior citizens. This was our first Princess cruise and I was forewarned. Activities are geared more to this
crowd.
