Although my wife had just begun her morning sickness, I had a wonderful time. The cruise
would have been more
enjoyable if she could have been by my side during ship activities. I found that the
lounge had very good drinks and a lot
of specials like 2 for 1. The dining room food and service were EXCELLENT!! If you go on
the Crown, Western
Caribbean cuise ask for Victor for your waitor. He went out of his way to please me and
sent up special dinners and
snacks for my wife in the cabin. We did how ever make it down to the pizza place and have
one of there hand tossed
pizzas, very good. I only made it down to one midnight buffet and again the food was
terrific. The lido deck morning
breakfast buffet offered a lot of choices and great food. Overall I gained about 12 pounds
and can't wait to go back again.
Our first stop was princess cays (private island) The view was beautiful and the service
was terrific. Our second day was
at sea, this allowed me to shop the stores and buy some souvenirs for the follks back
home. Then we stopped at Montego
Bay, Jamaica. I don't recommend going in to shop cause the natives are very pushy and the
town was dirty. But, we took
the Mountain Valley Rafting excursion with Denford Wright our raft captain and he was
wonderful and a good singer too.
This was the best part of Jamaica. Our next stop was the best of the whole trip, Grand
Cayman, Cayman Islands. If you
go here you must take the stingray city excursion, first you take a catamaran sail boat
out on a 20 or 30 minute ride to
stingray city were they show you how to hold and feed the stingrays. Very Cool. This
sticks out the most about any of
our ports we stopped at. Next, we went to Cozumel, Mexico were we ate at some mexican cafe
and had margaritas and
cervesas. Then we shopped and bought arms full of gifts for family members. We should have
went swimming at the
beach were they had the most beautiful water I have ever seen. The last day we were at sea
again and took in the casino
and lost a little money. But thats just my luck. I hope that this information is benefical
and if you have any questions
e-mail me. Or if you took this trip and would like to chat about it feel free to e-mail us
and we'll be happy to write back.
Overall I thought the whole trip was a trip of a life time and I wish everyone could take
a cruise. You won't be sorry. I
will have to agree with some of the other complaints that the disembarkment was a bad end
to a wonderful trip. But a few
hours is well worth the week of fun.
