I have never had a worse vacation in my life, and I hold Princess Cruises completely
responsible. How dare you advertise this
cruise line as the love boat, it's more like Jurassic Park. This was my honeymoon, the
trip of a lifetime and thanks to Princess
Cruise and there false advertising practice we were stuck on a boat with nothing but
senior citizens for 9 days. I sent a
registered letter to Mr Ratcliffe expaining my disappointment with the cruise and that
also went without any response. The port
of embark has no terminal to process passangers when they arrive at the port, we were
forced to stand in line for 45 minutes
in an unairconditioned storage shed to wait to be processed. There were only 5
representatives to process 1,600 passengers.
The dining room is too small to fit the number of passengers the boat carries. If you have
the misfortune of being at a table
that is not in the aisle you will have to disturb a minumum of 6 people to get up. There
is no bringing a service cart to the
table because they simply can't fit it between the tables. Food presentation is not a very
big priority either, heres your plate,
thats about the extent of presentation, with the exception of the last night then there is
the Baked Alaska Parade. The
midnight buffet was just pitiful, and how do you start a midnight buffet at 11:30? The
poolside entertainment is beyond poor,
I've heard better a t a grammer school recital. Ship activities are so poor that every
time I tell someone about my trip they
think I'm kidding...Napkin folding, Estate Planing, Cheese Carving, making flowers from
toilet paper. Please believe me I am
telling everyone I know what a terrible time I had on your ship. When I went to pick up my
proofs at the bridal center, I told the
people in the travel section, Knights of Columbus heard all about it. Its on the internet,
what a bad time i had with Princess. All
of your shipboard activities are geared toward a mature traveler, and thats fine so long
as you advertise that, you present
Princess as the love boad which lead me to beleive that there would be lots of
honeymooners there, there was 6 other
honeymoon couples there. They were all seated at other tables, there was no effort made to
accomodate honeymooners with
the exception of a drink that was offered in some little bar on the 5th day of the cruise,
it was all of 10 minutes. Thats your
idea of sufficient accomodation? My only conselation is that after the boat I was on I
doubt that many of my shipmates will be
repeat customers, if you get my drift. Where as we have about 40 more years of traveling
ahead of us, and thats a lot of
money and not $1 will be spent on a Princess Cruise. The fact that the president of the
company when notified of the situation
does not respond is reprehesible, but thats okay, because with the internet I have an
audience of thousands who will, maybe
not respond but they will remember when they think vacation, avoid Princess.
Holland America here we come!
