Alaska was absolutely breathtaking and the decks on the Star made for excellent viewing--never crowded. Size and
configuration of our cabin on the Baja deck was very impressive. The room was attractively decorated in pastel shades
and there was more than adequate storage. The dining room was very attractive-large picture windows. We always ate
lunch in the dining room and loved the soups and pasta dishes served at that time. Dinner offered great variety and for
the most part, food was well prepared and scrumptious. Our teenage sons loved the homemade sorbets and ice creams
offered at lunch and dinner. Service at every point in the ship was top notch. The show singers/dancers were much
better than average and the special show, "Oddeysea" was out of sight. The shops offered a large variety of
fragrances, jewelry and collectibles at decent prices. By far, my favorite activity onboard was swimming in the
luxurious heated pool and soaking in one of the four whirlpools. It felt so good to sink into that warm water after a
chilly morning viewing glaciers. We took a 6-day Princess land tour (wonderful, but hectic) prior to the cruise so we
were ready to relax and unwind and the cruise allowed us the leisure time to do that. It's hard to imagine that any
cruise would measure up to this one. Again, Alaska's the greatest.
