The Sun Princess is a beautiful ship and very clean. All of the staff are excellent. Our cabin steward and waiter were the best of all of our 10 cruises!
Food quality in the dining room and Lido deck were good, but not exceptional. Also, most of the dishes served in the dining room were a bit on the exotic
side; only on one or two nights did they group the more standard fare, lobster, prime rib, steak, turkey etc. on the menu at one time. Our BC deluxe
outside cabin with veranda on the Baja Deck was well appointed; but very small; really too small for four. It was appointed with bathrobes, hair dryer,
safe, refigerator, TV and fruit basket which was replenished througout the trip. The nightly shows were standard, but my family and I could not get in for
the first show on Sunday evening because there was no room, which made me wonder what good the show tickets were that were handed out by the
Maitre-D at early dinner seating. The tickets were never actually collected at the theatre door.

Our air/sea arrangements turned out to be disastrous on the way to Anchorage. We were delayed 6 hours due to weather overall on North West Airlines
to Anchorage from Boston with a connecting flight from the twin cities. The delay included gate changes after long waits and we were relieved to finally
get to Anchorage, only to learn that we were then being taken on a 3 hour bus ride from Anchorage to Seward (wonderful and witty bus driver and good
scenery) and barely made it on the ship, after missing our first formal dinner at sea. Actual embarkation was easy, and the disembarkation was the most
organized and easy that we have ever experienced. Kudos to Princess for calling groups to disembark by colored tags depending on flight times. The
flight home was direct on Canadian Airlines from Vancouver, and was a very good experience. I would recommend Canadian Airlines to anyone.

We had Ports of Call at Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. Skagway and Ketchikan were nice, but Juneau was awful. We signed up for the five mile hike,
which was supposed to be through beautiful fields and other scenery with a moderate incline. We ended up on a hike up the mountain near Mendenhall
Glacier, which was more mountain climbing than hiking, and at a very fast pace. Although my family and I are in pretty good shape, we barely made it to
the top; and due to the roughness and the terrain, we had little chance to witness any scenery because we were too busy looking at our so called path
and looking for the next foothold on the inclines which were 70% or more in spots. Because we were so exhausted by the time this hike (mountain
climbing) ended, we couldn't make our next planned excursion of the day which was the Salmon Bake. Next time we'll leave the so-called hike to the
mountain goats and stick to the walking tours.

Overall, the cruise would place in the middle of our 10 cruises. Dining room and cabin staff was the very best! Embarkation and especially disembarkation
was the best. Food and shows were good. Shore excursions were good except for the one memorable one mentioned above.
