My wife and I departed San Juan on the Diamond on December for an abbreviated cruise which, I believe, was not originally planned. We were interested both in the ship and in the fact that the ship returned to our home area---Port of Palm Beach. Although we ran into some rather heavy seas---waves 11 to 13 feet--quartering seas--on one occasion, the ship was extremely stable and we had no roll,etc. We have been on two prior cruises, in the Mediterrean, and in the Carribean, and neither one compared to this vessel or to the quality of food or service we received. The husband and wife cruise directors were truly outstanding, personable, attractive, talented. vivacious, and truly concerned about passengers welfare and having a good time. Because my wife was recovering from serious surgery we did not participate in all of the off-ship trips.

Did we thoroughly enjoy our cruise on the Diamond? You be the judge--We almost immediately booked the July 12th cruise from Stockholm to Copenhaven via St. Petersburg. on the Diamond, a cruise from Instanbul to Athens in August on the Song of Flower, and a Tahiti cruise on the Radisson Paul Gaugin in January of 1998.
