Our cruise on the Radisson Diamond last month was wonderful. The ship is lovely and very comfortable. With only 350 passengers, it's quite intimate. I
can't say enough good things about the staff. They are efficient without being intimidating; friendly, but not too friendly; attentive, but not obsequious. The
service is exceptional. Captain Blindheim had an open bridge policy most of the time, and this made for a rather informal atmosphere. The food could not
have been better. Everyone always raves about the food on a cruise, but the cuisine on is cruise exceeded our expectations. Cruising in the Baltic is
fantastic, because you are in a fascinating city every day. We were lucky to have good weather, and the ports were dazzling. Copenhagen, Visby, Talinn,
St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm: each place has its own special magic. As if that all weren't enough, the cruise we were on was a classical music
cruise: The Royal Baltic Festival. There were concerts in wonderful locations ashore; such as: a historic church near the Amelienborg Palace in
Copenhagen; an old cathedral in Visby; The Hermitage Theatre at the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg; and the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The music was
excellent -- better than that even. I would recommend this cruise for passengers who appreciate the finer things of life, and who want to experience
them while at sea.
