We had a fabulous vacation on Royal Caribbean. We have 4 children ages 9, 10, and 12. The kids program
was excellent. A clever move by RC was video taping the kids’ activities. They aired them on the TV the next
day. So, we got to see the fun our kids had. Our best move was bringing walkie-talkies. We were able to
communicate and find our children at any time. It was even more effective while shopping on shore. I
suspect that once this has caught on, it will become more difficult to find unique channels. Our waiters in the
main dining room were great. This is the 1st I’ve seen a head waiter get involved. He even cut my kids food
for them. The food for lunches was odd at times and didn’t always suit the children’s tastes. But there were
always alternatives. Do not play the slot machines. No one won more than $400. The Black Jack tables were
lots of fun and the dealers were very helpful with new comers. If you want a massage/facial, wait to book
until the next to last day. They run a huge special.

Labadee was beautiful. The straw market was quite intimidating. They stuck things right in my kids hands
and freaked them out. We took the banana boat ride. I must say it was a total blast.

In San Juan, we took a tour outside the ship. Not through RC. I suspect we lost hearing some more
interesting things. But at the cost savings, I’ll live with it. We paid $10 a person. The fort is a must see. The
Crown and Anchor was a wonderful place to relax after shopping and quite an elegant retreat. There was a
liqueur store just off the ship at the port. It had to incredible deals compared to anywhere else.

St. Thomas was great. This is probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been too. Once again we
took a tour outside RC. This time at $15 per person. Well worth it. The shopping was far superior too.

Cococay has better snorkeling. I also went parasailing. It’s far more comfortable than I thought. I just loved it.
RC’s staff was excellent guides for the event.

Ever wonder what they’d do in case of an emergency? We had a man have a heart attack at the furthest
point from civilization. They stopped the ship, cleared the top decks, and the coast quard helicoptered in for
the pick up. I spoke to the man’s wife the next day. She was thrilled with how they had handled it, Although
she was not allowed to go with her husband. There was only room for the doctor to go.

What can I say, another cruise of a life-time. And many excellent memories! This was our second cruise with
Royal Caribbean, the first being three years ago on the Song of America to Bermuda. I only thought the first
one was great, this tops it ! There was 8 in our group, ages ranging from 40-76, and something to do for
everyone. We did the Eastern Caribbean with stops at Labadee, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and Cococay. We
flew down the day before and stayed at the Miami Hilton Airport and Towers. If you can afford this, please do
it. We flew out of Allentown into Charlotte and then onto Miami. We taged our luggage in Allentown and
never saw it again until we got on board the ship. This made me a little nervours but it really works. You just
have to pack a few extra things in your carry on. The hotel itself was very nice. Not too noisy at night,
considering your really close to the airport. It was a little confusing when we arrived at the airport. We
couldn't find any Royal Caribbean representitives there to meet us, so we just took the Hilton Shuttle Bus to
the hotel. The buffets at the Hilton were pretty good.

The next morning we opened our super charge
accounts at the hotel. This is a great advantage because the lines at the ship were really long. Since you do
this at the hotel you can bypass all those long lines. The bus took us to the pier around 12:30, its a short
ride. Everything went really smooth. All I can say about the ship is Wow!! It's beautiful and very big. Our
luggage was already in our room when we got on board. We took and outside room with a window, cat. H. It
was very nice and plenty big for the week since your not in it that much. First day at sea -- weather was hot
but not too humid. Seas were moderate, since there were some tropical depressions around us causing it to
be a little windy at times. Always alot to do on your days at sea. Deck chairs did seem to go rather quickly,
and you can't save any either. Don't just put a towel down and try and save, use a beach bag or some
shoes. They didn't bother bags or shoes. I think they have guys that just walk aaround the deck area and
take off towels if they don't see anyone in the chair.

Labadee-- another beautiful day, very mountainous and
lush. Just rent a mat and float all day. Don't snorkel here, wait for cococay. The water here was a little
cloudy. The picnic food here this day was also pretty good. You tender into this island, but it went very
smooth. I think the tenders hold 300 people at a time.

Puerto Rico-- a cloudy day with a few brief showers.
Very hot and humid. We took the old and new san juan bus tour. All I can say is there is alot of poverty here.
It was kind of depressing. We stopped at an old fort, and did some other sightseeing and then some
shopping. Save your jewlery buying for St. Thomas. The shops in Puerto Rico were nice and the streets are
very narrow. Very old with cobble stone streets. Bought some shirts in the Hard Rock Cafe.

St. Thomas--
Wow!! What a beautiful island. We want to come back here for a week. We did some shopping in the
Havensight mall which is right where the ship docks. Found some good buys here. In the afternoon we took
a cab to Magens Bay. I think it was $4.00 for each of us, boths ways and only $1.00 per person to get onto
the beach. We rented some chairs and stayed about 2 hrs. which was plenty. It was very quiet and peaceful
here. The water was beautiful. Very hot again but not humid. Day at Sea-- Too many activities again to list.
Weather again was great. Seas were moderate for much of the trip, but you really couldn't feel too much
movement.

Cococay-- Another private island, which means tender. But, again it went really smooth. Here
you had to have a numbered ticket to get off. The lower the number the sooner you got off. We snorkeled
and rented floats here. Took an underwater camera, and the pictures are great. Saw alot of different fish
and a stingray. The buffet lunch was great again. I think I liked Cococay better than Labadee. But Cococay
is more flat and no mountains like Labadee. Another great weather day, hot and not humid. I guess I
thought it would be more humid since your in the tropics, but I was wrong. All the meals were excellent, even
in the Windjammer Cafe. The Song of America didn't have that great of food in the Windjammer. But this
time it was great. Even the snack time at 4:00 was like a small meal. Breakfast was also very good. The fruit
was excellent. Never ate at the midnight buffet, since we had late seating we were never hungry.

The shows
were very good. The only time we could feel the ship move at all was in the Palladium Theater. This is
becuase it's in the front of the ship. Most of the time you couldn't even tell you were on a ship. And for those
of you who have cruised in the Atlantic, we knew we were on a ship. The caribbean is much smoother.
Disembarkation went as smooth as embarkation. We had yellow tags so we were called early. After you find
your luggage, and if you have your air through Royal Caribbean and you can check your bags for the
airport right there. You won't see it again until you get home. Then you proceed out side to the bus, which
again will take you to the airport. I must say all of our flights down and back when great. We were booked on
US Air. Sometimes I read horrible things about Royal Caribbeans Air program. But we had no problems. I'm
really having a hard time finding any negatives about our trip, maybe hair dryers in the rooms. I think some
of the newer ships have these. They take up so much room in your luggage. Maybe they could change their
times for the late seating. 8:30 is so late. Until you get through your meal then onto the show which starts at
10:45, your so tired. Maybe they could make late seatings at 8:00 instead. Like I said, I'm really having a
hard time finding any negatives. We are already planning another Royal Caribbean Vacation. You can
always be sure it will be a great one!!

We will definitely travel with RCCL again. Our first cruise and very enjoyable it was. Only problem was at the
Atlanta airport. When we checked in, they informed us we had seats on separate rows. The lady was nice
enough to change this for us. Then when we got to Miami, we saw no one waiting for us and had no idea
where to go. Our airline attendant announced to get luggage at a certain place. We went there hoping to
see a RCCL representative. No one was there. Other people going to our ship were having the same
problem. Finally called for help on the page phone and we were told to go to another place, got there and
was told where to find the RCCL desk. Finally got where we were suppose to be. Getting on the ship was
easy as could be. Found out we had been upgraded two catagories. The Grandeur was more than we ever
imagined, very clean and beautiful. All week we saw them cleaning. Our room was excellent except for two
minor details - no hair dryer and not enough plug-ins around the make-up table. Food all week was plentiful
and tastey. Our waiter and asst. waiter were wonderful, Gurhan and Ani. A pleasure talking to them each
night and enjoyed learning about their lives on and off the ship. The cruise director, Jeffery could be a
stand-up comedian. The Grandeur's captain was very friendly. The nightly entertainment was excellent.
Ports were good. If we ever return to San Juan, will either stay on the ship or tour the rum factory. The Old
and New San Juan tour is a waste of money. We really like St. Thomas and would recommend the taxi tour
over the mountain. Just wish we had been there longer, would love to swim at Maegan's Bay. Liked
CocoCay better that Labadee. One time I called the Pruser's desk with a question and could not get the
person to understand what I was asking. Loved the shops on board. But wait until Thursday night to make
major purchases. One day I had an appointment to have my make-up done. I had to wait for about 20 mins.
She did an excellent job, and I guess she felt guilty for having me wait because she invited me back for a
complementary facial the mext day. That day I had to wait another 15 mins. and at the end she wanted to
sell me on their products, but it was time for my dinner seating and I had to leave. Talked to someone who
had a massage and said it was wonderful. The only time we ever felt crowded was around the outside pool
area on days at sea. Any other time you could walk around the ship and have plenty of space. I have seen
the diagram of the Voyager and see the RCCL got with it and put the suites at the middle of the ship. I
believe this is a smart move. We had a couple of very rocky times in our cabin. I feel that everyone should
go on at least one cruise in their lifetime. It's a vacation to remember forever.

Just returned with my wife and two sons from a week on the Grandeur, 7/8 - 7/15. Our 5th cruise and
our kids 4th. As we live 90 minutes from Miami, air travel was not needed. We found this to be the
most beautiful ship we have been on to date. Our comparisons are based primarily on our prior
experiences with Holland America's Westerdam and NCL's Windward. Parking and check-in was easy
and fast. We found the ship to be clean, beautiful, and extremely well maintained. The Centrum area
is downright elegant. We decided to book two inside cabins (3001 & 3501) on Deck 3 ("a" deck),
instead of the four of us squeezing into a single outside cabin. My sons are 16 & 11 years old and my
desire for some privacy and space is even older. Cabin and bathroom size was average. Cabin
amenities were very good. We did miss having a view of the outside, especially in the morning. One
cannot tell if it is 3 a.m. or 9 a.m. without a wristwatch; as it is always dark when you awake in an
inside cabin. Although both our cabins were located side by side in the center of the bow, we found
them to be as stable as anywhere amidship.

The major drawback was the noisy earthquake that
occurs in these cabins when the anchor chain is dropped in the early morning, when arriving in
Labadee; a most unique wake up call. Labadee is best for sunning, floating on a raft, and overall
relaxing. Snorkeling here is a waste and should be saved for St.Thomas and/or Coco Cay. Avoid the
"tram" to the straw market here, unless you like overly aggressive locals selling pure junk. Labadee is
also one of two ports (Coco Cay is the other) that require tender service; as the ship cannot dock
here.

We found the tender service to be very well organized and fairly quick. In San Juan, we opted
for the Callabari horse back ride excursion; a one hour bus ride to a ranch on the edge of the rain
forest followed by a wonderful ride in possibly the most picturesque part of Puerto Rico. I highly
recommend this excursion for both experienced and first time riders. Time in Puerto Rico was too
short to do much browsing or shopping in Old San Juan after the excursion. St. Thomas is the place
to dive, snorkel, and shop until you drop. We had done scuba and snorkel here on a past cruise, and
chose the Mountain Top / Coral World excursion. The Mountain Top was breathtaking; views of
Megan's Bay and St. Johns as well as the ride to the top itself were very worthwhile. Coral World was
interesting, especially for those wanting to see a nice collection of area marine life close up without
getting wet.

The best part of St. Thomas is the shopping. This is the place to negotiate great jewelry
or electronics deals. Jewelry purchases are heavily discounted, tax free, and exempt from Customs
limitations (at least for now) because it is a U.S. port. Examples: His & hers Movado watches were
$295. for the pair. A diamond and saphirre bracelet appraised at over $850. for $450. A Bose home
theater speaker system that I priced in Florida at around $1500. plus tax, that I could have had in St.
Thomas for $1100. (if only I hadn't bought the jewelry). Coco Cay is designed (like Labadee) to be
strictly for RCCL cruise guests. The snorkeling here is great; lots of fish and a highly protected area
to lounge and swim. The small market area here is staffed with non-aggressive locals, screened by
RCCL, to provide tee shirts, hats, etc. of the area. The entertainment on board was the best I have
ever come across in all our cruise experiences. All shows were A-1 Las Vegas quality productions
and "name" comedians.

Special kudos to the Cruise Director, a fellow named Jeffrey Arpin. He was
the best at his job of any I have seen. He could pass for Tim Allen's brother and is just as funny. The
dining was very good and the service excellent. Meals can also be had in the Windjammer Cafe,
buffet style, should you miss your main dining room seating. One flaw in the Windjammer Cafe
service is that no one assists you with finding table seating or carrying your tray. This makes for
awkward, almost cafeteria style traffic. There were only two midnight buffets (one night by the pool
and one elegant gala buffet in the dining room). Although pizza, hot dogs and fries were available by
the covered Roman pool (2nd pool) on the non buffet nights, we felt this was inadequate. Perhaps
smaller sandwich and dessert buffets would be better on the nights that do not have a "major" buffet.
All in all, a wonderful vacation. We plan on cruising RCCL again as soon as possible. Our rating: A

This was my family's first cruise, and our BEST vacation ever. I went on the cruise with my parents
and my 2 younger sisters, ages 7 and 11. Miami: a RCCL representative met us at the airport and
took us on a bus to the ship. We had lunch in the Windjammer. The rest of the night was fun. At sea:
this is the day where everyone got to know eachother. I slept in and had brunch at the windjammer
around 11, but my parents went to the pool and my sisters went to their activities. Labadee: the
beaches here were beautiful. My youngest sister spent the day at the children's activities. My mom
got a tan, and my dad, my other sister, and myself went kayaking. It was SO much fun. San Juan: we
went on a walking tour. My parents found it very interesting and enjoyable, but I personally was
BORED out of my mind. We saw an old fort and some famous places. St. Thomas: MY FAVORITE
PLACE!!!! we went to Magen's Bay. Everyone was all crowded on one end of the beach, but we
walked down farther away from the shops and everything. The water was gorgeous; clear,
comfortable and calm. We floated on mats and enjoyed paradise. At sea: another great day.
CocoCay: we went snorkling here and it was beautiful. My mom was the only person who didnt go.
She missed out on a lot. Miami: SAD=( disembarking was easy though. COMMENTS: * my youngest
sister loved her activites so much she cried when we took her to eat dinner or go to an island* * the
staff was EXCELLENT!. our cabin attendant, corelli, and waiters, regidor and earli especially.* * the
rooms had PLENTY of space...even if we barely spent any time there.* * the pool deck becomes
pretty crowded but the solarium was always quiet.* * the boat was always VERY clean!*
SUGGESTIONS: * bring a bathing suit in your carry-on bag so you c an go swimming when you first
get on the ship. Our bags didnt get to our rooms until about 4.* * KIDS: go to the very first activity you
can so you can meet people and dont miss out on any of the fun.* * rent mats at the beaches* *
snorkling is great!* * check the board in front of the beauty salon everyday! there were free
makeovers, etc.!* * bring a camera to the midnight buffet*

This was the first cruise that my 11 year old daughter and I had taken and we were very impressed,
to say the least. Having booked a Carnival cruise and then cancelled (due to negative feedback from
former cruisers and reviewers), I was of the opinion that anything would be an improvement. I did not
realize how right I was!

The service and attention to comfort were phenomenal. We had *outstanding* cabin steward
personnel (Antone), and dining room waiters (Ismael, Gulcian and Michael as well as others at the
less formal sittings). The food was excellent, and the menus diverse. The manner in which the crew
handled drills, disembarkments and snafus was most impressive and smooth. I had a slight problem
with a communication issue and the manager at the Pursor's Desk (Shyam) handled it expediently
and in a fashion that won me over.

My daughter loved the food, the pools and the way everyone treated her with respect and courtesy. I
felt very safe with her leaving my side to go back to our cabin, or to the Arcade.

There were many families on board from all over the globe but we did not find it to be a matter of
teenagers or kids running rampant. It was a very well civilized city on the seas and the on board
communications was probably the best I've seen of any in the hospitality industry.

As a single parent, I was quick to take note that this is an even better vacation for large families and
honeymooners as that is mostly what we saw. But the personnel onboard made us feel right at home,
nonetheless.

Working this ship with a smile 24 hours a day cannot be easy as there is a diverse population and
the staff appears to work long days. Remarkably, there were few, if any, moments, that I saw anyone
tired or grumpy. I hope that RC recognizes the immense and unique value that their employees
provide by virtue of their positive attitude and attention to the customer's cruise experience! This was
the key factor in my satisfaction. The RC personnel were professionals who take their job seriously
and that was evident in how well we were served in the dining room (food and service), how clean the
pool was, how well our cabin was maintained, how many activities the cruise director had slated for
the week, the number of shore excursion activities, and in our general sense of well being and
satisfaction during the past week.

This was our first cruise for my husband and I, we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. We used
the air/sea program and had a 6:30 a.m. flight which got us in to Miami at 9:30 a.m.. We thought we
would have to wait around for hours at the airport but when we got there a Royal Caribbean rep.
was waiting for us. We just had to wait about an hour for the first bus to take us to the ship.
Everything went very smoothly at the pier, it only took about 20 minutes to get our supercharge
cards then we were able to board the ship a little after noon.

The Grandeur is a beautiful ship, we were like a couple of kids hurrying to see our room. We had
an outside room with a balcony and we were very pleased with it. It was great to be able to sit on
the balcony early in the morning and watch as we approached the various islands. There was
plenty of room for the two of us, but if there were more than two people it would seem crowded.
There was alot of closet space and dressers for storing clothing.

Our room stewards name was Leary, and we saw him quite often in the hallway. He was very
pleasant and kept our room very neat. He would always arrange the pillows on the bed each day in
different shapes. He never bothered us when we were in the room, yet every time we came back
from being out the room would be freshened up.

We had first seating for dinner and were glad we did. We had two wonderful waiters taking care of
us Pedro and Geoff. They were great; Pedro would always give us good recommendations on
dinner choices. Our bar steward, Sergio had our drinks to the table a minute after we would sit
down. Tony who was the headwaiter came around every evening to see how everyone was doing.
It was the best service we have ever experienced, it completely spoils you.

The first island we stopped at was Labadee, Haiti, which was one of our favorites. I had read all the
other reviews and did insist on going to the third beach. It was definitely the nicest and the least
crowded, it was only a short walk. We rented floating mats and just relaxed in the water for a few
hours, it was a great way to start vacation. They had a barbeque lunch on the island and the food
was very good.

The second stop was San Juan. We went on the Bacardi Rum Tour which was fun, they give you a
few frozen rum drinks, yummy. After the tour we didn't have time to shop because we had
scheduled massages for that afternoon. The massages were very relaxing.

Next stop was St.Thomas, VI it is a gorgeous place. We went on the sightseeing tour to St. Peter's
Greathouse and Mountaintop. The views were spectacular. You could see the ship on one side
and then we got to the top you could see Megans Bay. That afternoon we took a taxi to Megans
Bay and went swimming for about one hour. The water was very clear and you could see a few fish
swimming around your feet. We finished the day shopping in the area right by the ship. We picked
up all our souvenirs here. Prices were good.

The fourth and final island was Coco Cay, Bahamas. This was a good spot for snorkeling. Their
were quite a few jellyfish in certain areas though, so I decided not to do it. This was my least
favorite spot because there were alot of rocks in the water and the water was to warm, not very
refreshing.

Overall we had a great time and we definitelty will do another cruise. The food on the ship was
good, and some of the meals were great. The people that work on the ship were wonderful,
everyone seemed to have a great attitude and they really pamper you. The shows in the Palladium
Theater were just fair. The games played in the South Pacific Lounge each night were alot of fun.

We would highly recommend this ship. Can't wait to cruise again!
