I was concerned about the air-sea program, but everything went smoothly. We had one connecting flight each way, and
our wait was only around an hour. We were on the ship by 4:00 P.M.

This ship is beautiful. The staff worked hard to keep it that way. They were busy every morning washing and polishing. We
saw them wash the sides of the ship and repaint sections.

We had an outside cabin, and I wouldn't cruise anyother way. The cabin appeared small at first appraisal, but there was
enough storage room to put everything away and out of site, including all of our luggage. The cabin was quiet and we
only had to ask and our cabin steward brought us whatever we needed.

Our 9 year old had an absolutely fantastic time in the Kid's Konnection. I can't say enough good things about the Youth
Staff. They were wonderful. They had morning, afternoon, and evening sessions for the kids. Each day, they had different
activities for the kids, and at the end of the cruise, they cashed in the Ocean Dollars they received for participation for
some really nice gifts.

The food was good and the waiter was excellent. Our assistant waiter must have been new because he was a little slow
and uncertain of what to do next. He hadn't mastered English, either, but he tried. Our table mates also had a child, and
we all got along wonderfully.

Shore excursions were fun and exciting. I would highly reccommend the Jolly Roger at Antigua. It is a good way to get
'jolly'. It docks right by the Monarch, so you don't need to travel to it. The Atlantis Submarine is also a good trip. We did
some snorkeling and some sightseeing. One thing worth noting was that our shore excursion guides were not begging for
tips when we left as I have seen on our other cruise. I really liked that.

I did notice that the tipping guidelines for waiters and cabin stewards were increased from what they suggest in their
brochures. We had the envelopes ready when we arrived, so we had to add to them. I didn't care for that.

I would definately cruise on the Monarch again, and I would highly reccommend it to anyone.
