This was my second cruise to the same place. The last time my
husband and I went and this time I took my 86yr.old
mother and my daughter. It was a really nice ship and very clean.
I was just spoiled from the first cruise because we went
on the Monarch of the Seas and had an outside cabin with a
balcony and a bathtub in our bathroom and a refrigerator
and this time we did not have that. At first I was disappointed
with our cabin, but actually even though we didn't have a
balcony we did have an outside cabin and it grew on me. The shows
were good, but after the Platters and the Fifth
Dimension on the other cruise it was hard to compare. If this had
been my first cruise I would have loved it. If you can
afford to get an outside cabin with a balcony, bathtub and
refrigerator I suggest you do so. It doesn't cost that much
more and that isn't even the top of the line in cabins. Don't go
to St.Thomas without catching the ferry over to St.John.
St.John is beautiful. Not nearly as populated and commercialized.
The shopping is better in Phillipsburg, St.Martin . If you
are good at bargaining you will get better prices here than in
St.Thomas because so many people shop in St.Thomas
already. They are not as hungry. The food was good, but not as
good as Monarch. Again, I am just partial to Monarch.
