This was my fifth cruise and my husband's second cruise. I have sailed with RCCL three
times. This ship was very impressive, I really liked the layout
and loved the diningroom, we were on the second level at a round table overlooking the
lower dining area and were able to look out the large
windows out to the sea.
Embarkation was a long wait, it took almost two hours to register, I think it was the time
of arrival and just could'nt be avoided, the up side to this was
they gave us our supercharge card and dining arrangements at this time so we did not have
to worry about doing it once on board.
Our flights were well coordinated and we had no problems in this area at all, we were in
the Air/Sea program.
I found the service on board excellent, the food was good, the wait staff very attentive
and happy to serve.
In St. Thomas we hired a taxi and toured for one hour all over the island the taxi driver
was great, he was very informative and the island was
beautiful. In the afternoon we did the St. John beach tour, was very good, I have been on
this tour before, we went to trunk bay and snorkelled and
went swimming, very relaxing, water was nice.
In St. Martin we took the land and sea shore excursion, toured both sides of the island
and took a boat out to the coral and went below the boat
where you can observe the bottom of the sea, we saw a stringray, an eel, and many
different fish and coral, it was a good excurson. In the
afternoon we went shopping, there was plenty to look at and buy, then we sat back and had
a few cold ones in an outdoor bar. The weather was
wonderful, couldn't have been better, I really enjoyed the two islands and I was impressed
on the organization and value of the shore excursions.
The casino was well layed out and was neat having it on more than one floor, even though
we lost some money it was still fun.
This was a very good cruise, the ship was more impressive then I thought is was going to
be, and the intinerary was excellent, I wish there was more
3 day cruises like this one to ports of this nature.
Happy cruising.
