My husband and I enjoyed the cruise. We were welcomed warmly at the airport in LA and
escorted to our luggage and
transportation to the port. Royal Carribean took great care to see that we arrived at Port
safely and in an organized
manner. The service throughout the ship was excellent. The waiters in the dining room,
lounges, on the decks and the
cabin steward were excellent. The Cruise staff were a lot of fun. We found the Assistant
Cruise Director a little harsh, her
personality offended a few people. The food was abundant and delicious except on the Lido
deck the food quality was not
as high as in the dining room. We were very disappointed with our outside cabin as the
beds did not slide together, we
were expecting them to. The cabins also have paper thin walls. I felt as though we were
sharing one big room with our
neighbours. The shows each evening were wonderful, we loved each show. The Song of America
is an older ship that is
starting to show it's age. The ship is kept very clean however my husband wished the cabin
windows had been cleaned.
Overall an enjoyable holiday, I would recommend Royal Carribean to anyone wishing to go on
a cruise.
