This was our first and definitely not our last cruise. On this particular cruise we were
celebrating our fortieth high
school class reunion with sixty former students. This is the only way to go. They treated
us royally which made it very
nice. By having the extra time to visit, not just one evening, you were able to talk until
the wee hours of the morning,
right through the midnight buffet. They made sure that we all were able to sit in the
general location and only members
of the class at the same dinning table. The remaining passengers did not complain, in fact
they thought the idea of a
reunion aboard ship was unique. The Captain of the Viking Serenade was very accommodating
in that he took the time
to answer a great many questions and made you feel it was the very first time he had heard
the question. We liked the
cruise so well that yesterday we signed up for another cruise this time on the Royal
Carribeans Legend of the Seas. It
leaves January 28, 1998 from San Juan and sails through the Panama Canal to Acapulco, Mex.
We are looking forward
to this very much. Before our first cruise my wife was a little apprehensive about any
cruise because sometimes she
suffers with motion sickness. She did not have any problems so now she is ready to go
anywhere.
