This cruise was selected because I wanted to see the Panama Canal. The other ports of call included in the
itinerary were not very exciting. For the most part, I walked around and shopped at each port of call. My shopping
experience in St. Thomas was great, but Curacao and Costa Rica were not as enjoyable.

The ship itself was just beautiful! The public areas of the ship was full of artwork of all kinds, brass, and glass.
My only complaint about the ship was an annoying banging sound that was constantly heard in my cabin #3584.
This noise was heard when we were tied to the pier, as well as at sea. The purser’s office offered to move us to
a cabin one desk higher, but we declined the offer because we did not want to bother with the inconvenience of
moving after we settled into the cabin.

The dining room staff and menu were excellent. For those of you that want healthy choices, the menu each night
identified ‘ship shape’ menu items with calorie and fat gram information provided. The menu items
recommended by the waiter were almost always the best choice from the menu.

Management of the Beauty Salon could use improvement. The stylist was ½ hour late for my appointment, and I
was not interested in the additional time it took to pressure me to buy their beauty products. At various times
throughout the cruise, I was surprised to see marketing of their beauty products outside the Beauty Salon setting.
Sometimes it was part of the ships agenda of activities, and other times it consisted of sales tables setup on the
pool deck.

Embarkation and disembarkation were managed very well. Based on flight times, we were all issued colored
tags for our luggage. These colors were also used to determine disembarkation priorities. Disembarkation
started at 8:15 a.m. and everyone was off the vessel by 10:15 a.m. I sat on the pool desk during disembarkation
and found the wait to be comfortable and orderly. Throughout the process, ship representatives were placed
everywhere to assist passengers wherever they might possible be needed.

Cruise activities for passengers interested in physical fitness were plentiful. Otherwise, cruise activities were
somewhat 'thin' and lacked creativity. The cruise director himself did not have much of a presence throughout the
cruise. For the most part, he opened and closed the evening shows. Most other activities were performed by his
staff.
