I require a special diet. Renaissance lived up their promise to be sure that there was always something I could ear.

Almost everyone else flying out of Kennedy Airport was on a direct, non-stop TWA flight. When they arrived in Rome in the AM, they were transported to
their hotel on a comfortable air-conditioned bus.

My husband and I (and one other family) were flown on a Lufthansa flight with a three-hour layover in Germany. We were transported to our hotel in a
broken down, non-air-conditioned van, and arrived in the evening, therefore losing a day of sightseeing in Rome.

On the day wehad received our flight information, I immediately called Renaissance, but was told that it was too late to change to a non-stop flight.

I was told by those who had been on the TWA flight, that there were many empty seats. I wrote to Renaissance after the cruise expressing my
disatisfaction.Yesterday someone from Renaissance called to tell us that, we were placed on the Lufthansa flight (even though that was a far less
convenient flight) because we had sent in a Silver Winds coupon for $100 in shipboard credit. No one had ever informed us that this could affect our
flight arrangements.

Renaissance indicated that that's the way they handle things. They offered no apology for not at least warning us. Nor did they apologize for the
transport to our hotel.

Although we enjoyed many other aspects of the cruise, we are not sure we would travel with them again

We purchased this cruise on the internet about 60 days before sailing. It included air from New York and 2 days in Rome pre
cruise and 2 days in Barcellona post cruise.

The flight from New York to Rome on Luftansa was good, even in coach the service was great. We were met by
Renessaince and the transfer to the Hotel was superb. The Hotel in Rome was first class, we had a room with a balcony over
looking the grounds of the American Embasy. We only went on two precruise tours in Rome. The first was the highlights of
Rome Tour and it was fair at best, our tour guide was the problem. We took the day tour of the Roman hillsides with a stop
at Castelgondolfo. It was an excellant tour and well worth the money. the transfer to the ship was great and we were amazed
at our room. Even though we were on the lowest passenger deck, our room was fabulous. It had a queen size bed, a wrap
around dressing table. The sitting area had an entertainment center, couch and chair with a coffee table, bar and safe. We
met our Stewardess (Alice); she was the best.

The seas were somewhat rough. We were not able to go to our first port of call-Portafino. We had to divert to a small cove
called portavenere. It was a wonderful little village and one of the highlights of the cruise. Livorno and Florence were
excellent and the ground tour to Florence was well worth it. The next port was Monaco with a 1/2 day excursion to the
French town of Eze. This was another highlight of the trip, and the tour was well worth its price. We stayed extra time in
Monaco because of weather and had to miss Marsaille and head straight for Barcellona. That was fine because it gave us
some time on board during the day. The post cruise in Barcellona was good, the hotel was not near the caliber of the hotel
in Rome.

The meals on board the ship were excellent, I cannot say enough about the staff. They were the best. We had no bad
experience with any of the staff or amenities on the ship.

There are no shops, the casino is small and the pool is microscopic, so not a good family cruise ship.

We made wonderful friends and had a great time I would definitely recommend this cruise and We hope to sail again soon
with Renessaince
