This was a cruise that my husband won due to sales at one of his car dealerships, therefore, there were many
other car dealers on board. We've never experienced a cruise as luxurious as this one was. From the minute
we stepped on board till the moment we left, we were treated like royalty! We eat out a lot, all over the world,
and the food was amazing! Gourmet quality. The staff can't do enough to please you. When we were poolside,
a staff member walked around misting people who looked hot!! At a poolside bbq one night, after moving
through the buffet line of incredible food, a staff member carried our plates back to our table for us. One
afternoon, on a private island near Virgin Gorda, we had a beach bbq, which once again was amazing. While
we were waiting for the bbq to begin, the ship staff waded out into the water (very calm), and set up a caviar
and champagne bar on a surfboard, truly an amazing experience!! All the rooms are suites with windows,
which was great. We even had a walk-in closet and bathroom with a tub!! I can't say enough about the ship
and it's crew. Every single person we came in contact with was helpful, polite, and eager to please. Now we're
spoiled, and will never be able to take a regular cruise again.

This was our 9th cruise since 1995. We have cruised 4 times on the Legend and 5 on either the Wind
or the Cloud. Without a doubt, this is the best cruise we have ever experienced, and we have had
some exceptional cruise experiences. From the moment of embarkation until we walked down the ramp
for the last time, every significant item on the ship was perfect. Seabourn food has always been very
good, but our experience on this cruise was even better. We last sailed on the Legend in Februsry of
'99 and did not expect to see any familiar faces on the staff. We were delighted and pleasantly
surprised to see so many familiar staff and crew on board. Each and every one remembered us and
the cruises where we met.
Seabourn still maintains the highest standards of service with an all european wait and bar staff. The
room chambermaids could all be Scandinavian centerfolds and are are expert in their jobs. The
entertainment was very good for the size of the ship and demographics of the clientel. The stops were
as good as one can expect in the Caribbean, where one island tends to look and feel like the next. I
only got off the ship twice, and rapidly returned after a brief walk on shore. One of the subtlie but
wonderful things that Seabourn managed to do for us on this cruise is to never stop when there was
any other cruise ships in port or anchored off the destination island. This really helps 'declutter' the
cuise experience in the Caribbean.
The ships tenders are magnificent; however, local tenders were chartered at Virgin Gorda. They were
not of the same quality and efficiency at the ship's. They were late picking us up, appeared to be
overloaded, there was no safety briefing and no life jackets in sight, although they may have been on
board.
We were a bit sceptical about using Seabourn again after reading the Top 100 list in the January, '01
issue of Conde Naste' and noting that Seabourn had slipped from the top 10 to #82. I can only believe
that there must be a serious flaw in the magazine's rating system as this cruise is far, and I mean far,
superior to any we have ever experienced on Silversea. Our definite impression is that Seabourn
quality is on the rise, while Silversea food, service, and ship maintenance is on the decline. This from
88 days on Silversea and 47 on the Legend since '95.
The only suggestion that we could make to Seabourn to improve anything on the Legend would be to
return to the all inclusive policy which does not require either the staff or passengers to bother with
'signing' for drinks throughout the ship. It is just an anoyance that is inappropriate for a ship of this
quality.
We cannot wait to get back on board!
