Seabourn is the ultimate cruise experience. This was my 4th Seabourn cruise and I have two
more planned for this year. The food and service is the
best anywhere, and compares favorably with any five star hotel. Any food request is never
refused. On my trip a lady wanted sweet potatoes and at
the next port, you saw the kitchen staff scouring the town looking for the potatoes. She
had them for dinner that evening.
Shore excursions are a big strength. There are never more than 20 persons in a group. You
have no idea what a difference this makes when you
only have to wait for 19 other people to show up after a stop. Seabourn takes special
interest in providing unusual and wonderfully interesting shore
excursions. The trip to the Amalfi Coast and the one to the ruins at Ephesus were
beautifully done. Make sure that you choose trips that include a
lunch stop. Seabourn always manages to find the most wonderful restaurants with some of
the best food of the region.
The only weakness I've ever perceived, and this has been on every Seabourn cruise, is the
travel office. The staff always seem to be short tempered
and surprisingly, not every request is accommodated. Many of my fellow Seabourn cruisers,
who I've stayed in touch with, agree with this perception
of the travel office.
I cannot wait for my next Seabourn cruise.
